Terms & Conditions
300-hour Grace Yoga Teacher Training 2027
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Grace Yoga 300-hour Teacher Training 2027 at The Shanti Space, Portugal.
The training is offered as two separate 150-hour immersions:

accommodation at The Shanti Space for the duration of the selected immersion(s), according to the accommodation category booked;
-
plant-based meals provided as part of the residential training;

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the fee does not include travel to or from Portugal, flights, transfers, travel insurance, personal expenses, or additional services booked independently by the participant.
Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel to and from the venue.
6. Cancellation by the participant
Cancellations must be made in writing by email.
After expiry of any applicable statutory withdrawal period:
More than three months before the start of the participant’s first booked immersion:
Payments already made beyond the €750 deposit will be refunded. The €750 deposit is retained.
Three months or less before the start of the participant’s first booked immersion:
No refund is owed.
For participants registered for the Full 300-hour Training, the booking is made as one combined program at the discounted Full 300h price. Once the June immersion has begun, cancellation or non-attendance of the September immersion does not entitle the participant to a partial refund.
The participant remains free to demonstrate that the organizer suffered no loss or a substantially lower loss as a result of the cancellation, to the extent required by applicable law.
Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase appropriate travel and cancellation insurance covering illness, injury and other unforeseen circumstances.
7. Changes to a booking
Requests to change from one immersion to another, change accommodation category, or transfer a booking to another training are subject to availability and require written agreement from the organizer.
Any difference in price resulting from an agreed change must be paid by the participant.
There is no automatic right to transfer a booking to another participant or another training date, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
8. Changes or cancellation by the organizer
The organizer may make reasonable changes to the schedule, curriculum, teachers, guest teachers, accommodation arrangements or venue where necessary, provided that the overall character and educational purpose of the training are not materially affected.
If an immersion is cancelled by the organizer and no suitable alternative is accepted by the participant, payments attributable to the cancelled immersion will be refunded.
The organizer is not responsible for independently booked travel or other external costs, except where liability is required by mandatory law.
9. Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances
If circumstances beyond the organizer’s reasonable control materially affect the ability to provide the training as planned, the organizer may make reasonable changes, postpone the affected immersion, relocate it where appropriate, or cancel it.
Such circumstances may include natural disasters, fire, severe weather, epidemics or pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, political unrest, war, major transportation disruption or other comparable events outside the organizer’s reasonable control.
Any rights of participants under mandatory applicable law remain unaffected.
10. Participation and certification
Participants are expected to attend the full training program.
For participants completing both immersions toward the Grace Yoga 300-hour certification, completion of all required training hours, pre-training study, assignments and assessments is required.
The June immersion includes a written assessment. The September immersion includes a practical teaching assessment.
Completion of an individual 150-hour immersion does not by itself constitute completion of the Grace Yoga 300-hour Teacher Training.
Missing significant training hours or failing to complete required coursework or assessments may affect eligibility for certification.
Where applicable, Yoga Alliance registration or recognition remains subject to Yoga Alliance’s own requirements.
11. Health and safety
Participants are responsible for practicing within their own limits and for deciding whether participation is appropriate for them.
Participants must inform the organizer of health conditions, injuries, allergies, dietary requirements or other circumstances that are reasonably necessary for safe participation or accommodation.
The training includes physically demanding yoga practices, including advanced asana, inversions, arm balances, backbends and hands-on work. Participation in any particular practice may be modified or declined where appropriate.
Health information provided to the organizer will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
12. Accommodation and meals
Participants must respect the rules of The Shanti Space and treat the venue, staff and other guests with reasonable care.
Accommodation categories are allocated according to the participant’s confirmed booking. Where a shared room has been booked, the organizer cannot guarantee a particular roommate unless expressly agreed.
All meals provided as part of the training are plant-based.
The organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements communicated in advance but cannot guarantee that every dietary preference or allergy can be accommodated. Participants with severe allergies or specific medical dietary requirements should contact the organizer before booking.
13. Conduct and community standards
Participants are expected to contribute to a respectful, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, serious disruption of the training, repeated disregard for boundaries, or conduct that puts another participant, teacher or staff member at risk may result in exclusion from the training.
Before exclusion, the circumstances will be considered reasonably, taking into account their seriousness and whether a warning or other measure is appropriate.
Any entitlement to reimbursement following exclusion is determined in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.
14. Hands-on assists and bodywork
Parts of the training, particularly the September immersion, involve hands-on assists, partner exercises and bodywork.
Consent and respect for personal boundaries are fundamental to these practices. Participants may decline or modify physical contact at any time.
Participants are likewise expected to respect the consent and boundaries of others throughout the training.
15. Photography and video
Photos and videos may be taken during the training for documentation and promotional purposes.
Participation in promotional photography or video is voluntary. Participants who do not wish to appear in identifiable promotional material should inform the organizer.
Where separate consent is legally required for the publication or use of identifiable images or recordings, such consent will be obtained separately.
16. Course materials and intellectual property
Training manuals, written materials, recordings, presentations, online materials and other course content provided by Grace Yoga are intended for the participant’s personal educational use.
They may not be reproduced, distributed, uploaded, sold, published or used to create substantially derivative training materials without prior written permission.
Participants may use the knowledge and teaching skills acquired during the training in their own yoga teaching.
Completion of the training does not grant a licence to represent oneself as a Grace Yoga Teacher or to use Grace Yoga branding, logos or proprietary training materials except where separately authorised.
17. Grace Yoga certification and designation
Completion of both 150-hour immersions and all applicable certification requirements leads to recognition as a Grace Yoga 300h Graduate, subject to successful completion of the program.
Graduation from the 300-hour training does not automatically confer the designation “Grace Yoga Teacher.”
Use of the Grace Yoga Teacher designation is subject to the separate requirements established by Grace Yoga, including any applicable mentorship or assessment pathway.
18. Liability
The organizer is liable without limitation in cases of intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health.
In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and to foreseeable damage typical for the contract.
Mandatory statutory liability and mandatory rights of participants remain unaffected.
Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings and their own travel arrangements, except where loss or damage is attributable to the organizer under applicable law.
19. Applicable law
German law applies, subject to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which the participant has their habitual residence, where applicable.
Mandatory provisions of Portuguese law applicable to services or accommodation provided in Portugal remain unaffected.
