Yoga is a lot more than a physical practice. It is an approach to living in balance, both physically, mentally and spiritually.
This 8 days intensive lead by Alex is the perfect opportunity to fully embrace all aspects of Yoga, from Asana and Pranayama, to Chanting and the Yoga of the Voice, Philosophy and other powerful ancient practices.
Curriculum Highlights:
Every morning will be centred around in depth Asana, Meditation and Pranayama practice. While the afternoon and evenings will be dedicated to exploring complementary practices, allowing for a deeper transformation and holistic experience (see Curriculum below). Each day will be quite busy but sufficient time will be offered to integrate the teachings and explore the beautiful surroundings of the yoga centre.
Who can join :
This intensive is aimed at any passionate yoga practitioner that wishes to take a deeper dive into the immense potential of Yoga in all its forms or teachers who wish to feel more empowered and inspired in their own personal practice. All levels of practice and experience are welcome, the only requirement is the willingness to participate and cultivate an opened spirit.
THE RETREAT CENTER
AmateCamp is a healing center inspired by the essence of nature, the elements, and the four directions.
It has been specially designed to embark on an inner journey to spiritual awakening, making it the ideal space for a conscious experience.
It is located in the mountain skirts of Tepoztlan, a magical town deeply rooted in Mexican and prehispanic traditions. Being the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl, Tepoztlán is known as an energetic portal.
The camp is surrounded by green areas and spectacular mountain views, inviting you to disconnect from routine and reconnect with nature.
The meals served at the retreat are all deliciously local, organic and vegan.

Temazcal & Ice Bath Therapy - Temazcal is an ancestral shamanic ritual practiced by ancient civilizations throughout Central & North America, including the Maya, Aztecs & Toltecs. Ice Bath and Temazcal are both powerful healing practices.

The retreat center is about 1h35 drive from Mexico City Airport. Transportation can be organised with the retreat center.
ALEX PEREZ
Alex is a yoga teacher and a licensed medical doctor.
Over the course of his apprenticeship, Alex developed his own way of teaching yoga, a non-rigid and modern form based on a scientific understanding of movement and of the body. His classes contain elements from many styles of yoga along with his unique touch of creativity and play.
Alex uses his profound anatomical and physiological knowledge to adapt his guidance to the unique physiognomy of each of his students, herewith creating a safe environment for all to freely express their body wisdom through movement.
Alex teaches workshops, trainings and festivals internationally. He is currently based in Berlin, Germany.
LUCIE ANDRE
Lucie discovered her own path to Yoga while living in Mexico. Her creative approach is based on inclusivity, body positivity, spirituality, and deep self-inquiry.
As a certified yoga teacher (Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative), Breathwork Facilitator, & Sound Healer, Lucie is passionate about holding spaces and sharing her energy, leading groups with powerful tools such as breathwork, meditation, hypnosis, sound journeys, intuitive movements and spiritual guidance.
She designs holistic classes and experiences, mixing various elements of Yoga Philosophy & Traditional Chinese Medicine. She aims to create a safe space for sharing, reflecting, and healing.
Lucie believes that body and mind are closely related, so expect a full activation of your entire vessel, both on the physical, mental and emotional levels.
